The goal of this page is to help Gaia users to prepare and check their ADQL queries on the early 3rd Gaia Data Release scheduled for the 3rd of December 2020.
With this web service, do not expect to get any glimpse of Gaia EDR3 data before the official release. This service only checks the syntax and the schema/table/column names.
When selecting a target TAP service (i.e. Gaia Archive), all their custom ADQL functions are immediately loaded and recognised during the query validation.
The parser and the EDR3 data-model used in this validator are based on the TAP service of ARI and should not be much different from what will be released on the 3rd of December 2020. However, there is no guarantee that they will be the same in the TAP service of other institutes (e.g. ESAC).
You can also really run your ADQL queries (with a slightly different data-model) on a simulation of Gaia EDR3. See gdr3mock at GAVO data center.
