Download

First, you need to download the installer or package, if you have not done so. Packages are available for Linux, macOS and Windows. You can either download the Gaia Sky build for your operating system (recommended) or browse and build the source code.

Installation procedure

Depending on your system and your personal preferences the installation procedure may vary. This section describes the installation and running process for the different operating systems and packages. Running

To run the software, use the provided shortcut, found in the applications menu of your operating system. If you downloaded the .tar.gz package, extract it and run the provided gaiasky or gaiasky.cmd file. If you used the AppImage, give it execute permissions (chmod +x), and then run it.
